Michael Kuslansky has over 26 years of experience in public accounting, including assurance and attestation services, tax services for businesses and individuals, and other accounting and advisory services. Mike has been with the Firm since 1999 and has been a partner since 2005.
He has been an integral part of the Firm’s growth and culture over the past 20 years. Mike specializes in attestation and tax services for privately held companies and real estate related investment funds. He services some of the Firm’s larger clients, including companies that acquire and service consumer debt, and investment funds that originate mid-market real estate related debt and equity investments. Mike also works closely with smaller family-owned real estate owner/operators, small not-for-profit organizations, and other closely held servicing businesses.
Mike has provided advice on complex attestation and tax matters ranging from accounting for financial instruments, investment company and fair value accounting, specialized accounting issues related to purchase of debt with credit deterioration, to complex tax matters such as partnership tax allocations, partner tax basis matters, corporate conversions, and tax controversy matters.
Mike’s extensive experience in both assurance and tax matters has positioned him as a trusted advisor and an asset to the clients he services.
